On January 18, Arkansas moved into Phase 1B of the Coronavirus vaccination plan. Within this phase, the initial prioritization will be given to those who are 70 and older, teachers, and educational staff. Please be aware that vaccine doses received each week are limited and are not expected to increase for the next few weeks. This means that some people in this phase may not be able to get an appointment until February.
As of now, vaccines will be administered in designated community pharmacies and special vaccination events across the state. Individuals should only book an appointment at one location instead of making appointments at multiple pharmacies because making multiple appointments will reduce the number of appointments and doses available to others. We recommend checking pharmacy websites before calling the pharmacy to see if they have an online waiting list. This will assist pharmacies to reduce the number of calls they are receiving and help speed up the vaccination process.
We are in this together and want to make this process as smooth as possible enabling as many people to be vaccinated as possible in this phase. Please remember that the vaccine is given at no out-of-pocket cost to you.
